Just as the vision of Te Kura Nui o Rototuna is symbolised in the soaring of the kāhu/swamp harrier, so the Year 7-10 learners at Rototuna Junior High School aimed high with plans of what their playground could be.

Building on the brief they provided, Playground Creations recognised the importance of including equipment that encouraged socialisation, teamwork and challenges while catering for all abilities.

The result is a play space that incorporates an exciting variety of equipment. With eel balance logs and structures for climbing, swinging, and suspension: the playground is a constant hive of activity, set amongst beautiful native planting.
